Cynthia Abila emerged the winner of the 2018/2019 fetswallet and Lagos fashion week official fashion Focus Fund

The designer is the recipient of this year’s N5,000,000 Naira cash grant after pitching an impressive business plan at a closed session.

The event kicked off with the first session, The Focus Fund presentations at the fets headquarters in Ikoyi.

The presentation sessions were judged by Mrs Omotade Odunowo (MD/CEO, fetswallet),

Bimpe Adejumo (Brand Manager, fetswallet)

Chukwuka Monye (Cuci Consulting)

Rukky Ladoja (Creative Director, Grey Projects)

Ms Osayi Alile Oruene (CEO Aspire Corporation) 

Doyin Okunrinboye (Sunlight Ng) .

The presentation started with designer,

Russell Solomon, followed by Cynthia Abila, Bloke, Jermaine Bleu and finally Demure by Denike

Whom all gave quite an interesting pitch.

The second session which was the live presentations took place at Whitespace, also in Ikoyi, Lagos. This time, candidates presented to a live audience and there was also a voting segment for the “Audience favorite” won by Demure by Denike

Technology and the creative industries remain one of the clusters that will continue to diversify the economy, and we are proud to push for growth within the fashion sector.

FINTECH MEETS FASHION: LAGOS FASHION WEEK CASTING CALL

Lagos Fashion Week 2018 officially kicked off on the 29th September 2018 with the Model Casting Call.

As sponsors of the event, fetswallet was at the venue carrying out registration for over 200 models.

The models are then paid through our platform, the fetswallet.

We were surprised at how many twin models turned up for the show.

This year, fetswallet is bringing double the heat to Lagos Fashion Week.
